This week I was working on Collage. 2 Studio habits that I used this week were envision and engage & persist. I used envision by looking at my materials and then thinking how I wanted to cut and place them on my paper and then after I envisioned what my artwork would look like I cut and glues everything down. I used engage and persist by focusing on my artwork and pushing myself to get it done even if it wasn't something I was really interested in.

My landscape artwork is a frozen lake with some pine trees in the background and 2 birch trees off to the side. My background is a sunrise along with the pinetrees. I created my artwork by thinking about something I like to do in the winter and that is ice fishing. I first wanted to create a lake scene with fish houses on the lake, as I started drawing it out on my canvas I realized I liked it better with no fish houses so I just kept it as a winter lake scene. My overall thoughts on my artwork is good, I think I did a pretty good job for my artistic ability and I think everything came together good. I did learn from one mistake, I drew and painted my birch trees before doing the sunrise, so when I was painting the sunrise it was really tricky between the tree branches and I painted over some of the tree so I had to re paint the trees after. The last 2 weeks i've been working on my landscape artwork. One studio habbit I've used is invision, I pictured what i wanted my artwork to look like and then i drew it on a canvas and painted it. Another studio habbit I've used is express, my art work is a frozen lake, i chose to draw this because of my love for ice fishing and winter. |
